Dear Wendy Williams,
I’m days late with this and, in the Twitter world, nearly a year late but the Goddess Sekhmet is seething and I have to let you know what is on her (i.e. my) mind.
Warrior Goddess Sekhmet h/t Sodahead.com
I just caught wind of what you said about Viola Davis wearing her hair natural on the red carpet for the Oscars and such (thanks to Madame Noire and MzPaparazzi for the photo!). Apparently, you thought she looked “like room 222″ (i.e. like a man) and did not like her style. So, you felt the need to open your ignorant, self-hating mouth and express yourself. Did you REALLY say that natural hair is “not formal?” I’m aware you spend most of your time putting other people down, Wendy. And I’m aware that the reason why you even have a career is... -

A Dr. Goddess Giveaway with Sears and Kenmore!
Appliances!
Folks, I have a ton of brand loyalty to Sears and Kenmore Appliances because I grew up with their great, (digital) appliances and credit the intelligent choices my Mom aka “Ms. Freedom” made for our family. As you may know, I’ll be debuting my next play entitled, “She Put a Hammer in My Hand, a story about women and home improvement,” which is a tribute to her and a tool kit for all of us.
Thus, I’m delighted to be flying on over to Chicago for the Kenmore Bloggers Summit and there’s a great opportunity for you to win some great prizes, particularly a Sears Gift Card of $100, $50 and $25. *SQUEAL*
I don’t know about you but I could use that. In fact, I got a little teary-eyed just thinking about the possibilities…
Here are The Rules:
1. Make a quick video showing us how... Posted in Contests, Food, Home Improvement, Products, Social Media, Travel Read More
Dr. Goddess Finds Love With Swiffer
I love Swiffer products.
Swiffer Sweeper
Intensely.
Swiffer Dusters
From the sweepers to the dusters and all of the dirt in between, I love everything about the brand. If you have not yet had the opportunity to use the duster, I HIGHLY recommend you pick it up. It has saved me so much time and money, already!
You know Dr. Goddess loves good Theater, too….So, imagine my delight when the two came together for me at BlogHer 2011 in San Diego, California! I was at one end of the Proctor & Gamble booth in the Expo Hall when I heard someone say that “the dirt” from the Swiffer commercials was around the corner. I raced over to find the actor, dressed in his hideously wonderful and creative, “Keyboard Guy” dust costume, posing with happy consumers.
I had to have my chance to reenact my favorite commercial! I... Posted in Art, Ask Dr. Goddess, Featured, Home Improvement, Products, Social Media, Travel, TV Read More

Help Dr. Goddess Help Ms. Freedom
They say “A friend in need is a friend, indeed” eh?
Well…
For those who’d like to meet my Mom, you can read about how phenomenal she is here when I wished her a Happy Birthday.
Ms. Freedom was in a car accident and I need your help now.
"Ms. Freda" by Erin Perry
I love this picture and it will be used in “She Put a Hammer in My Hand”.
My mother’s story is the basis of my next play, which is entitled, “She Put a Hammer in My Hand”. She is a Handy Ma’am who built up our home when my brother and I were children; but she is older and less strong now, so her eyes are bigger than what her body can physically complete for a construction project. The investment she made in her home—and us—drives me to complete this project for her, so she can live out the...
